Updates on Dad

I've learned a great lesson in the last seven days: we don't get to pick our trials...we just get to choose how we respond to the challenges that come our way.

Updates about Dad's health situation are available at this website:

You will all be in my prayers Diana. I know that is so scary. The longer I live the more I realize how important it is to trust in God. Sometimes things like this are so challenging on one's faith, but I do know that God can work miracles, even in the trials. I hope he will get a full recovery and be able to get back to missionary work, but something tells me that he is doing missionary work even with his health issues.

I recently found out that one of my friend's fathers went into hospice last week. They were hoping he would make it through the weekend.

I don't know how any of us will go on without our parents, especially when they are so amazing, but I do know that what they've taught us will always be with us.

Diana, your family's exemplary response to this painful challenge shines into the lives and hearts of everyone who cares about you. Every one of you siblings prove over and over again that you are absolutely true to the faith and graciousness of your parents.
